lara ciulli (performer, co-writer)
Lara Ciulli is an actor, comedian, and theatre maker based in Edinburgh and London. She trained at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and later L’École Philippe Gaulier. She created her award winning theatre duo ‘Those People’ in 2019, and has, most recently, directed the one-man show ‘Goodbye Uncle Fudgey’, that won the prestigious ’Spirit of the Fringe’ award at Edinburgh Fringe 2023. She is a passionate collaborator, actor and deviser, and believes in making theatre and comedy that transforms perspectives and furthers social discourse around challenging issues. She is about to commence her 2024 research and development project, Art and Abolition: exploring how art, particularly theatre, can be used as a tool for reimagining alternatives to incarceration and as a means of rehabilitation for system-impacted individuals. She is excited to revisit ‘The Sisters’ Fig’ with the professional love of her life Blaise Wopperer and make their comedy theatre debut at Edinburgh Fringe 2024.
